The new building of the Georgian parliament in the city of Kutaisi

Georgia goes on the way of innovations: it accepted the concept of change of a place of a dislocation of various government bodies and carries out on "hurrah". For example, the Georgian Constitutional court settles down now in Batumi. By 2012 plans to note "housewarming" and parliament of Georgia. For this purpose in Kutaisi the new building is erected.
Scale, emergence of the new directions and their fast implementation really strike. Rather recently in the small city of Mestia there was a new airport in style of minimalism. And in the settlement Sarpi adjoining on Turkey the new border check-point is open.
Alberto Domingo Kabo, the architect from Spain, is the designer and the creator of this project. Earlier he developed in Tbilisi the project of the new building for the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia which was executed in hi-tech style therefore in this country it is known already for the works.
Quite usual and traditional building consisting of seven floors, consists of 217 offices, and also has a conference hall for deputies. It wouldn't be so interesting, if not one "but": the building will be from above as a cover, it is covered with a hemispherical dome from glass which keeps on 30 beams. One of which has length 200 meters.
On a plan of the author, "cover" from glass has to associate with transparency, on the one hand, and force, with another. These associations will be strengthened in addition, by stylization of an entrance to parliament under a steel tree which starts up the roots.
By the way, many went in this country on the way of construction of transparent buildings. For example, walls of police stations are executed from glass. Probably, this "trend" is a peculiar metaphor: transparency of walls, transparency of the power, transparency of policy … Construction of parliamentary "house" in the heat. So-called "zero level" is already finished, and building of the main objects now begins. So if everything develops successfully further, the first meeting of the Georgian deputies will take place in 2012.
